Broad Chare Partners recently sponsored the Challenge Cup, at a charity golf day in support of HospiceCare North Northumberland. The competition, which was held on the 8th of May at the Alnmouth Golf Club, Foxton Hall, aimed to raise awareness of the charity as well as funding.
Founded in 1995, HospiceCare North Northumberland is an independent palliative care charity. It provides flexible, high quality care, to patients and their families so that they can receive the care and support that is right for them. From day therapy centres and hospice at home services to a bereavement support service, HospiceCare North Northumberland supports on average 360 families each year, relying almost completely on donations and sponsorship's.
Stephen Adair, Partner at Broad Chare Partners, said: “As a North East-based business we try to champion and support our local community and charities within it. This is the fifth consecutive year we have sponsored the Challenge Cup in support of HospiceCare North Northumberland. It was a great event and we hope that the funds raised will help HospiceCare North Northumberland continue to provide its fantastic support services.”
The event proved hugely successful with many players participating in the competition and donations raised to a sum of £6037.03.
